  • General Questions

    Due to the limited number of passes available, cardholders who are City of Omaha and Douglas County residents or property owners, as well as individuals who choose to pay for an Omaha Public Library card, are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity. 

    Accounts with outstanding balances greater than $50 may start or continue a payment plan in order to obtain a ticket. Expired accounts must be renewed and outstanding fees must be paid in order to obtain a ticket.

    The venues require an adult be present with the use of the ticket. No one under 18 is allowed to use the ticket without an adult. Only adults may have a ticket.

  • Year-round Passes

    Visit OPL’s pass reservation page and read the terms and availability for each venue by clicking on the venue's name.

    On a desktop, laptop computer or mobile device:
    Log into OPL’s pass reservation page using your library barcode and PIN.

    Attractions can be viewed by available date or attraction.

    • Under each attraction, click “Offers” and “Select Offer” to see the first available offer date.
    • Click “Reserve” to reserve the selected offer and confirm details or “Reserve different date” to see other date options.
    • Click “Confirm” to reserve the selected offer.

    After clicking “Confirm” you will have the option to Print/Download, Print Later or Cancel Reservation. Please note that once your pass has been printed or downloaded, it can not be canceled. Please note each venue’s terms of use.

    • Each venue will specify how many individuals a pass will admit.
    • Each venue will require you to present your OPL card alongside the pass.

    Pass reservations can be retrieved by clicking on “My Reservations” at the top of the pass website.

    Visit OPL’s pass reservation page.
    Log in using your OPL barcode and PIN.
    Click “My Reservations” and navigate to the correct pass.

    To Cancel:

    • Click “Cancel Reservation” and click “Ok” to confirm.
    • Passes cannot be canceled once they have been printed or downloaded.

    Need to change the date of your pass? You’ll need to:

    • Cancel the existing pass (before the date of the pass) and
    • Make a new reservation for a different date.

    You will be able to cancel a pass yourself up to the reservation date. Please note passes cannot be canceled once the pass has been printed or downloaded. The pass will count as “used” and count against your use limits.

    If you are unable to use your pass due to an unexpected or weather closure by the venue, please call any OPL branch to cancel a reservation.

    No. If you reserve a pass and wish to print out a copy at the library to use at any venue, you may have it printed free of charge at any OPL location. Call or visit any OPL location to learn more.

    An active OPL library card is required to reserve a pass. Your account must be active and have under $50 in fees or any other blocks (such as pending address verification). Ralston and Lincoln reciprocal accounts are not eligible at this time. Contact library staff if your account is not working.

    Please see the terms for each venue on the pass program pages for information such as the number of people admitted per pass or the number of passes allowed per family/household. There are also limits on how often an individual may claim a pass.

    You might get this error if you typed the card incorrectly. Please try again. You may also get this error if your card is marked “inactive” or no longer is in OPL’s system. This could happen if your card was previously replaced, or expired and was deleted.

    There is a waiting period before you can reserve another pass for the same venue. Details on each venue's waiting period may be found on the venue pass pages, opens a new window.  

     
    Reserved but unused passes are considered checked out. Unused passes apply to the waiting period.

    You will get this error if your library card is expired. Please contact library staff if your account is not working.

    You are eligible to reserve a pass if you are 18 or over and your account is in good standing. Passes for different venues may be reserved on the same day. Pass venues reserve the right to specify further limitations on usage of their passes. This information may be found on the venue pass pages, opens a new window.

    Omaha Public Library has a limited supply of membership passes and would like to share the experience with as many library users as possible. 

  • Zoo Tickets

    Due to the unique nature of this program and the high-demand expected, OPL cannot hold tickets for anyone under any circumstances. If you’re able to pick up a ticket, call the branch you intend to visit or visit our website to determine which location has tickets available.

    The ticket will remain checked out on your account for three months to indicate that you’ve already received a ticket. You will not be charged for it, nor expected to return it.

    We have a limited supply of tickets and want to share the experience of the venue with as many library patrons as possible. Library patrons will have an opportunity to check out a ticket every three months. Tickets are not available during summer months.

    Due to the limited number of tickets available and high demand expected, OPL will allowing one ticket per person, regardless of the number of cards they have in hand or the accounts they can access through linking.

    Each ticket to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is for one-time use by two adults and up to six dependent children up to age 21.

    Yes. Tickets must be presented with your Omaha Public Library card at the entry to the venue.

    Yes. If you cannot use the ticket prior to the expiration date, please return it to the library so another patron may enjoy it. 

    Due to the limited supply of tickets, lost tickets cannot be replaced.
