Homebound Program

Patrons with physical impairments that prevent them from visiting the library may be eligible for OPL’s homebound program. This service allows patrons to request books over the phone and have them delivered and returned free of charge via the U.S. Postal Service. Interested individuals may contact Borrower Services at 402.444.4857 to apply.

Once registered for this service, homebound participants may call the Information Desk at 402.444.4800 to order any of the materials the library circulates. Participants will receive their items in the mail along with a return mailing label and receipt showing the due date. Items should be sealed in the same padded envelope in which they arrived with the originally enclosed mailing label attached. The postal carrier will deliver the materials back to the library at no charge.

Homebound patrons are responsible for fees if items are lost or damaged.
