Katie Temple’s renderings of domestic exteriors are personal reflections on her continuous search for “home.” Through archetypes of dormitories, apartment complexes, townhouses, and houses, she explores how moving from place to place affects her sense of home. For Temple, “the meaning of home is a way of organizing and understanding the space within ourselves—we create meaningful, authentic connections to the places we live.” “Sense of Home” combines multiple iterations and drawings of places she has lived, ultimately searching for the moment a place becomes a home.
