Reserve a Room
Are you planning a meeting or needing a study room? OPL can accommodate groups large and small at most library locations.
When not in use for library-sponsored events, library rooms are available for use by groups and organizations that meet OPL’s guidelines and for purposes that are consistent with the library’s mission, goals, and objectives.
Meeting Rooms may be reserved by the following groups:
- Community Groups and organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, or service oriented activities may book rooms free of charge.
- For-Profit Groups, businesses and organizations whose primary goal is to earn income and profit may book rooms for a $25 per hour fee.
- Payment is required in advance to confirm the reservation.
Rooms may not be reserved for the following purposes:
- Social events (parties, showers, etc.), unless scheduled through the OPL Event Manager at Central Library. These events are subject to separate policies and fees.
- Activities involving alcohol
- Fundraising (unless library-sponsored)
- Sales presentations or commercial promotions including soliciting for future sales
- Ongoing business operations
- Any activity disrupts OPL operations, impedes other visitors’ use of OPL services, or poses an unreasonable risk to OPL staff, visitors, or property.
Read through OPL's Meeting Room Policy to make sure you qualify to use these rooms. A.V. Sorensen Branch, Florence Branch, Saddlebrook Branch, and South Omaha Library have special policy addendums.
Meeting room reservations may only be made online. Study rooms may be reserved online and in person.

Study Rooms
The following locations have study rooms available for use:
- Benson Branch
- Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch
- Charles B. Washington Branch
- Downtown Branch
- Florence Branch
- Millard Branch
- Milton R. Abrahams Branch
- Saddlebrook Branch
- South Omaha Library
A limited number of study rooms are reservable online. Unless otherwise stated, study rooms are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

To cancel a reservation, follow the link that appears in your room reservation confirmation email, or call staff at the library your reservation was made for.

Private events are only held at Central Library and must be scheduled through the OPL Event Manager. These events are subject to separate policies and fees.

Reservations may be made no more than 90 days in advance of the meeting. A meeting room reservation request, opens a new window must be completed by the group requesting use of a meeting room at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting room use. Study rooms may be reserved up to the time of booking.
