Program Details

Kids' & Teens' Program
Receive two free books when you register!

Complete any combination of 10 activities or reading/listening hours to receive a(n):

Voucher for a book from the Friends of Omaha Public Library book sale
Omaha Storm Chasers ticket voucher (for an 8/7 or 8/11 game)
Chance to win additional prizes

Pick up a Summer Reading Program Kids or Teens passport at any branch to track your progress. Color a section of the pathway each time you complete an activity or 1 hour of reading/listening (sections are subdivided into 20-minute increments). Bring your completed passport to the information desk at any OPL location to receive your prize.

Attend a library program.
Listen to an audiobook.
Read a book and watch the movie it’s based on.
Recommend a book to a library staff member.
Check out a book from a display at your local branch.
Post on social media about a book you read and tag @omahalibrary and/or the author.
Write a poem, story or song.
Find the Staff Picks book lists at the bottom of OPL’s homepage at omahalibrary.org.
Draw a picture of your favorite scene or character in a book.
Read a story on a fan fiction site.

Adults' Program
Complete any combination of 10 activities or reading/listening hours to receive a voucher for a book from the Friends of Omaha Public Library book sale, and have a chance to win additional prizes.

Pick up a Summer Reading Program Adults bookmark at any branch to track your progress. Check off a box each time you complete an activity or 1 hour of reading/listening. Bring your completed checklist to the information desk at any OPL location to receive your prize.

Prizes available beginning June 1, while supplies last.
