Business cards can be issued to any business in Douglas County. This includes schools, individual classrooms and child development centers.
Bring a letter from the business owner or an administrator of your school to any Omaha Public Library location, requesting that a library card be issued under the name of the business, school or a particular class. The letter should indicate who will be responsible for holding the card and who will be allowed to check out items on the account. Picture ID will be required from the person applying for the library account.
For child development centers or for educators of students in eighth grade or below, a special “business juvenile” card can be issued that allows no fines on juvenile items which are returned late.
The business or school is responsible for lost or damaged items and any fines triggered for late return of materials.
