Thank you for your interest in presenting a program at Omaha Public Library (OPL). We are accepting new presenters on a limited basis. Program presenters can be individuals, organizations, performers, artists, or educators. Programs may include workshops, performances, concerts, presentations, and more. Please read the information below, then complete the form to submit your program proposal.
OPL plans programs months ahead of time. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted a minimum of 6 months before a proposed program start date to allow for additional conversation and planning time. Library programs are designed to provide educational, informational, or cultural value to the community.
Your submission will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Supports the library's mission, opens a new window.
- Has relevance to or a focus on reading and stories.
- Flexible date availability. Short notice submissions or limited date availability will not be considered.
- Cost.
- Does not attempt to sell or promote a product or service for profit.
Selected programs must comply with the library Meeting Room Policy,, opens a new window which mandates the program be open to the public, free of charge and prohibit commercial advertising or direct solicitation. If you would like to book a room to host your own event that is not sponsored by OPL, but takes place at an OPL location, you can reserve a community room, opens a new window for free.
Please note that program proposals will be subject to review and approval. Submission of this form does not guarantee selection. We will contact you if the program meets our guidelines and fits into programming needs, schedule, and budget. Due to volume, we are unable to respond to all program submissions.
