Patrons with physical impairments that prevent them from visiting the library may be eligible for OPL's homebound program. This service allows patrons to request books and have them delivered and returned free of charge via the U.S. Postal Service. Interested individuals may contact Borrower Services at 402.444.4857 to apply or renew their account.
Once registered for this service, participants may call the Information Desk at 402.444.4800, option 2 to place holds. Participants will receive their items in the mail along with a return mailing label and receipt showing the due date. To return the items, they should be sealed in the same envelope in which they arrived and the return mailing label attached. The postal carrier will deliver the materials back to the library at no charge.
Homebound patrons are responsible for fees if items are lost or damaged.
