What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to creative programming and connection, libraries are essential to thriving communities.
National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.
This year’s theme is “Drawn to the Library.” Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. Libraries are where stories live, ideas are born, and community thrives. At OPL, we’re proud to be a cornerstone for Omaha’s growth and curiosity, and National Library Week is a time to celebrate the powerful role libraries play in enriching our lives.
What Can You Discover at OPL in 2025?
- Diverse Programs for All Ages – From storytimes for little ones to teen STEM events and adult writing workshops, our programming is designed to spark creativity and foster connection.
-
The Discovery Pass Program – Check out more than books! Use your library card to access local museums, cultural institutions, and attractions for free.
