Lutheran Family Services (LFS), opens a new window
Refugee Services is a program of Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska that provides services to refugees before, during, and after their arrival, including resettlement and employment services. LFS prepares for a refugee's arrival and helps them obtain needed services such as English classes, cultural orientation, employment services, appointments with the Health Department and Social Services.
Omaha Refugee Task Force (ORTF), opens a new window
The Omaha Refugee Task Force (ORTF) is a collaborative effort of refugee community leaders, resettlement agencies, city officials, and other service providers whose purpose is to advocate for and address refugee issues in Omaha.
Refugee Empowerment Center (REC), opens a new window
The Refugee Empowerment Center assists refugees who are transitioning from their own culture to American life. REC focuses on helping refugees live and work productively, further their education, and achieve a better life for themselves and their children. Their goal is to empower refugees to integrate into their new homes and obtain the skills necessary for economic self-sufficiency.
