Omaha Public Library (OPL) offers a variety of book club resources. OPL can help you find a new book club, select a title for your upcoming book club meeting, or help you start your own book club.
OPL hosts book clubs at most library locations. These clubs meet monthly and are facilitated by community members. See all of OPL’s book clubs and when they’re meeting here.
Omaha Public Library circulates hundreds of book club bags for adults, young adults and children. Book club bags may be checked out for up to six weeks and can be reserved online, opens a new window or by calling or visiting any OPL location, opens a new window. Each book club bag includes the following:
- Canvas carrying bag
- 7-12 copies of the book*
- Notebook with discussion questions, author information and other materials
- Some kits may also contain a spoken CD and a large-print copy
These complete sets make it easier for all book club members to conveniently access a copy of the selected title.
*Children’s and YA bags have approximately 20 books and may also contain a spoken CD and teacher’s literature guide.
