This October at Omaha Public Library (OPL), celebrate TeenTober, a nationwide celebration hosted by libraries that aims to celebrate teens, promote year-round teen services and the innovative ways teen services help teens learn new skills, and fuel their passions in and outside the library.
Visit any OPL branch to participate in the month-long celebration! Check out the Teen Space for fun program kits with TeenTober themes: 1) Literacy, 2) Writing, 3) Technology & Gaming, and 4) Art & Music.
Drop in activities include:
-
An escape room puzzle. Read the set up, assemble the puzzle, and solve its riddles to escape.
-
A zine creation station. Make a zine that could be added to the OPL zine collection.
-
Board game sessions of The House of Danger. This game is based on the popular Choose Your Own Adventure book series.
-
Self-directed art projects. Draw a picture for our daily art challenge based on a prompt.
Teens may also view book displays showcasing titles inspired by the four TeenTober themes.
