Omaha is a vital, vibrant city and Omaha Public Library (OPL) acts as an essential catalyst, collaborator and connector of ideas, and is dedicated to strengthening our community by connecting people with ideas, information and innovative services.

Omaha Public Library has and continues to collaborate and partner with hundreds of community organizations. OPL welcomes the opportunity to work with groups on projects that advance mutual missions and visions.

How Omaha Public Library defines programs, outreach, collaboration and partnership

  1. Programs: OPL delivers services to audiences inside the library including programs delivered by presenters or partners.
  2. Outreach: OPL delivers services outside the library to a targeted community groups or organizations.
  3. Collaboration: An agreement with another person, group and/or organization in order to achieve a goal.
  4. Partnership: An ongoing relationship involving close cooperation between parties having specified and joint rights and responsibilities.

Request for Proposals

OPL invites groups, organizations and individuals to submit proposals for collaborative events and programs based on the definitions above.

Which Proposal is Right for Your Idea?

Programs: You would like your program to be considered for presentation at Omaha Public Library branches.

Outreach: You would like Omaha Public Library to come to your place of business or event to share information about the library and its services.

Collaboration: You have a mutually beneficial idea for an event that both organizations would be responsible for achieving.

Partnership: You would like to partner on a project that will meet both organizations’ missions and create new resources.
