Celebrate Jane Austen’s birthday at Omaha Public Library’s 16th annual tea party

All are welcome at Omaha Public Library for a delightful afternoon tea honoring Jane Austen's 244th birthday. The 16th annual Jane Austen Tea will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2-4 p.m. at W. Dale Clark Main Library, 215 S. 15th St. 

Festivities will include light English fare and a talk by Viki Barie, who will present “The Ordinary and Extraordinary Life of Jane Austen.” Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite teacups, though there will also be teacups available for use at the event. The Bookworm bookstore will have books and holiday gift items available for purchase. Parking at Omaha Park One (15th & Douglas streets) will be validated for Jane Austen Tea attendees.
