Chris H. Olsen’s Five Seasons

fiveseasonsFilled with beautiful pictures and step- by- step instructions, this interior decorating book is encouraging to those of us who are craft-challenged. The author studied landscape architecture at Oxford University and has regular segments on a local Arkansas TV channel. Olsen provides ideas on how to decorate your front door, living and dining room, bedroom, and outdoors throughout each season. Many of his ideas are inexpensive and unique.

Who would have thought to place pumpkins and gourds in an empty fireplace during the Fall season? Or float them in a pool for a dash of pre-winter color? The projects range widely from creating wall art and plant sculptures to homemade body products and metal art. All materials needed for the projects are readily available in local stores such as Target, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Pier 1 and others. This book will keep you busy and inspired year-round.
