The Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act
OPL will be offering the following programs to help navigate the policies put in place by the new health care law.

  • Affordable Care Act for Individuals
    When: Thursday, February 05, 2015 2:00 PM
Where: South Omaha Library at Conference Room A

Marketplace Nebraska will provide assistance to help area residents make informed health insurance decisions, understand the marketplace, and compare insurance plans. They will respect your privacy and keep your information confidential. If you wish to shop for a plan on the health insurance marketplace, or think that such a plan might be right for you, please pay attention to the following. The Marketplace offers different types of health plans to meet a variety of needs and budgets. You’ll need to figure out how much you want to spend on health coverage each month. Many people using the Marketplace will qualify to save money. To find out how much you’re eligible for when you apply, it will help to have these things close by: • Social Security numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants) • Birth dates • Pay stubs, W-2 forms, or “Wage and Tax Statements” • Policy numbers for any current health insurance • Information about any health insurance you or your family could get from your jobs.

  • The Affordable Care Act, Taxes, and You
    When: Tuesday, February 10, 2015 6:00 PM
Where: W. Dale Clark Main Library at Meeting Rooms 2 & 3

Learn about your options, get general information on taxes, and explore the Affordable Care Act marketplace.
