Wouldn’t it be great if kids all over Nebraska were talking about the same book? The Nebraska Library Commission and the Nebraska Regional Library Systems have a program where kids can all read and discuss the same book. “The Green Glass Sea” by Ellen Klages has been selected as the 2009 One Book One Nebraska Kids title. The book is aimed at children in grades 4-6.
Every culture has passed down lessons on social virtues from one generation to the next through the tradition of storytelling. North and south Omaha families with children six years old and up are invited to recreate a similar tradition at PRIME TIME FAMILY READING®, a free six-week program designed to help parents and children read together and talk about stories with life lessons.
