WHAT: Library closed due to water main break WHO: South Omaha Library WHEN: Closed until water main is repaired WHERE: 2808 Q St.
Due to a water main break, Omaha Public Library’s South Omaha Library, 2808 Q St., will be closed today. If the water main is repaired, the Library will open at 5 p.m. when Metropolitan Community College opens for evening classes.

Omaha Public Library will host free festivities at all 12 locations across the city from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, February 13.
OPL unveiled a new brand, including a new logo and website, yesterday. The public is invited to explore the new site omahalibrary.org and pick up new library cards and free gifts on Saturday as they enjoy their neighborhood branches. Entertainment, storytimes, craft activities, refreshments and more, in addition to the Library’s everyday offerings, will be free for all ages. |

Omaha Public Library (OPL) and the Omaha Public Library Foundation unveil a new logo, tagline and website this week. OPL will host neighborhood open house parties for all ages to celebrate the new beginning on Saturday, February 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all 12 Library locations.
“The Library is more relevant for the Omaha community than many people even realize,” said OPL executive director Gary Wasdin. “Our new brand and website are bringing the look of the Library up to speed with its offerings, and we’re giving Omaha the perfect opportunity to take notice!” |
