Can music make you smarter? Will it boost productivity? Does it really stimulate development in babies? Omaha jazz musician George Walker, will answer these questions and more at “Music on My Mind,” an hour-long recital with a presentation about the effects of music on the human mind. The special program is at 2 p.m., July 31, at Omaha Public Library’s Florence Branch, 2920 Bondesson St. and will be followed by a question and answer session. The concert includes songs for all ages, and families are encouraged to attend. While in the Library, families are invited to browse the collection of music CDs and videos. “Music on My Mind” is sponsored by Friends of Omaha Public Library.
